He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Shier and Rita Shier (Mangan). He is survived by: his siblings, Ron Shier, Helen Shier, Nancy Schafer (Paul), Gary Shier, Leonard Shier (Heather), Alan Shier and Donna. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews and friends.
