“I knew Shirin as a very responsible and caring colleague over the years we spent together at St. Joseph's Hospital Dept. of Obs/Gyn. She was an advocate for her patients, supportive of her medical confreres and almost always passed little sparkles of her delight in life and its deeper meanings in my interactions with her as Head of that department. She carefully mentored many younger physicians and medical students and never wavered in her commitments to the hospital or the University.”
