He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas Hurst and Berdina Hurst; and his siblings, Douglas Jr., Wava, Gloria, Ralph (Brenda) and Andrew.
He is survived by: his children, Zachary Horoky (Wendy) and Ryan Hurst (Chelsea); his grandchildren, Logan Horoky, Serenity and Beckham Hurst; and his siblings, Rose, Sylvia, Pat Moxley (Mike), Francis (Rose), Clarence, Pam and Agnes.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Amherstburg Freedom Museum.
