He was predeceased by: his parents, Hilda Wiles (Vaughan) and Neil Wiles; and his brother Bert (Myra). He is survived by: his sisters, Carolyn Duff (David) and Laura Lane (late Eric); his wife Elisabeth "Billy"; his children, Anne of Chelsea, QC, Karen Cleland (Mike) of Almonte, ON and Peter (Kristen Graham) of Toronto, ON.; his grandchildren, Dan (Sarah Mullen), Mark (Laura Shaddick), Holly Mayson, Kimberley (David Perreault), Heather (Steve Kang), Ben Cleland (Stephanie) and Alexandra Wiles; his great grandchildren, Lila, Yaelle Perreault, Ada, Chase, Beau Cleland, Henry, Alice Mayson, Isla and Noa Kang; and his family Ottawa.
In recognition of his contributions to the community, the Town of Almonte honoured him in 2017 with a celebration and plaque.
