Jacob Veerman Obituary

We are sad to announce that on November 15, 2020, Jacob Veerman (Acton, Ontario) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his son Bill; his brother Willem; and his parents, Willemina and Jacob. He is survived by: his spouse Willemijntje; his children, Keith (Pippa), Hubert (Salina), Christine (Larry James), Joanne and Henrietta (Peter Knowles); his brothers, Kees (Southampton) and Jan (Parry Sound); and also Willem. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Jake was a quietly strong and resilient man who thrived despite much tragedy in his life, but these recent months of isolation due to the pandemic took a great toll on him. In memory of Jake, please reach out to someone who's alone because of the pandemic, tell a joke, and enjoy a good meal with a glass of red wine.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Ontario Eastern Bluebird Society, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
