She was predeceased by: her parents, Jean Murphy and Mayor of Liverpool; her husband Walter K. Hughes (Wally); and her siblings, Reid, Bill and Ruth.
She is survived by: her children, Kim Tait (John), Guelph, Mark Hughes (Betty), Leslee MacKenzie (John) and Nancy Hughes-O'Higgins (David); her grandchildren, Kayleigh, Breanne Tait, Nathan, Laurie-Anne, Matthew Hughes, Quinn, Kate, Erin MacKenzie, Lily and Jasper Hughes-O'Higgins; and her great grandchildren, Henry, Clare and Charlie. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to Bonny Lea Farm in Chester or the Valley Regional Hospital.
