She is survived by: her parents, Charles Fairfax and Ethel Fairfax (Johnson); her children, Melvin "Sonny" (Jackie), Sheila Lopes of Halifax, Charlene Arthur (Leonard) of New Minas and Valerie Crawford of Mississauga; her daughter-in-law Palma Upshaw of Lower Sackville; her husband Marvin; her son Darrell "Johnnie"; her grandson Jody; her brother Charles "Bill"; and her sons-in-law, Calvin Lopes and Mort Crawford. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, several great and great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Donations in memory of Ethel may be made to the Windsor Plains United Baptist Church.
