He was predeceased by : his parents, Gordon Blois and Violet Blois (Weatherbee); his wife Theresa; his grandson Justin; and his sister Kathryn.

He is survived by : his children, Cindy Foley (Doug), Debbie Boates (Kevin) and Lawrence Blois (Linda); his grandchildren, Jessica Boates (Trevor), Melissa Martell (Mel), Stephanie Whelan (Mitch) and Nick Boates (Vera); and his sister Brenda Hingley (Ross).
