She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert L. Fillmore and Vera V. Fillmore (Billet); and her brother-in-law Gary Yorston. She is survived by: her husband David W. Lake; her daughters, Kimberly Lake Amherst (Jaczar) and Krista Lake Settle Truro (Paul); her siblings, Charlotte Yorston and Rob Fillmore; and her granddaughter Chanel Da Silva (Drake). She is also survived by nieces and great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Andrew's United Church, Canadian Cancer Society, or, Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia are welcomed.
