He was predeceased by: his mother Doris MacDonald; and his uncle Alfred MacLean. He is survived by: his father Keith MacDonald; his sisters, Myrna LeBlanc (Andrew) and Ruby MacDonald (Stephen); his nieces, Anna LeBlanc (Casey), Kristen (Thomas) and Claire Ross; his uncle Ron MacDonald (Jane); and his friend Anita LeBlanc.
