It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Piovesan (New Waterford, Nova Scotia), born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, who passed away on April 5, 2020, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy Currie and Sarah Currie (Saccary); her husband Feruccio "Sarge"; her children, Johnny and Jeannie; and her siblings, Joe, Naish, Marie, Marg, Rose, Rita and Ann.
She is survived by: her children, Gerry "Ged" (Denise), Debbie Duguid (Jim), Rose Gillis (late John "Chicken") and Darlene Lemoine (Paul); her grandchildren, Michelle, Cheryl, Ryan, Kyle, Nicole, Gerralynn and Jessica; her great grandchildren, Kevin, Mark, Taelor, Kaela, Destiny and Mckynlea; her brother Greg (Dolly); her close friend Patrick MacKinnon; and her pet Jack. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, daughter.
