He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Thibodeau (Deveau) and William Thibodeau; his son James; and his siblings, Henry, Maurice, Freddy, Lewis, Daley, Marie Rose and Evelyn.

He is survived by: his children, Eddie of Alberta, Christine of Dartmouth, Jerry of Yarmouth, Barbara of Mavillette, Jacqueline and Michael of Saulnierville Station; and his siblings, Leonard of Digby, Freeman of Bear River and Beatrice of Oromocto, NB. He is also survived by 11 Grandchildren; 17 Great-Grandchildren.
