She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Robbins and Alice Maud Haley (Beckett); and her siblings, Frank Haley (Jane) and Elizabeth Shreve (Robert). She is survived by: her sons, Dr. Peter Barss and Dr. David Barss (Catherine MacMullin); her granddaughter Julia Barss (Ashley McColgan); her great grandchildren, Kaia and Abigail McColgan; her granddaughter Celia Barss (John Cooper); her great grandchildren, James and Claire Cooper; her granddaughter Sara Barss (Chris Christie); her great grandchildren, Austin and Nathan Christie; and her grandchild Pedra "Hazel" Barss. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and, extended family.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia, Wolfville Baptist Church or the Canadian Red Cross.
