She was predeceased by: her parent Ralph; and her brothers, Fred, Edwin and Mutt. She is survived by: her parent Muriel; her daughters, Anne Marie, Scott, Melissa, David, Carol, Rob, Sophie and Nanny Neil; her grandchildren, Annika, John, Devann, Scott, Whynot, Liam Banks, Ashley Spencer, Moira MacNeil, David Walker, Cynryc Faircloth and Nigel MacNeil; her great grandchildren, Kierstyn Lilly, Zaida Lilly, Phoebe Banks and Blake Banks; her siblings, Jean and John "Willie" Connell; her spouse John "Jack" MacNeil; and also, Taylor, Charles and Tidd. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Donations in Sophie's memory would be gratefully received by the IWK Health Foundation and the Victoria Order of Nurses.
