He was predeceased by: his parent Walter James; and his siblings, Geraldine, Evelyn, Kathleen, Peggy, Charles and Wayne.

He is survived by: his parent Helen Fredericks (Vidito); his children, Shirlee Brisbin, Steven James and Shelly Marie of Ontario; and his siblings, Mona Fredericks of Bridgetown, Faye Halliday (Kenneth) of Hillsburn, Helen Johnston (Donald) of Lequille, Henry (Shirley) of Wilmot, Richard of Bridgetown and Edward of Tupperville. He is also survived by two grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
