He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Messervey and Pat Messervey (Conrad); his wife Evelyn (Fansher); and his brother-in-law Donnie MacDow. He is survived by: his sons, Rick (Jacqueline) and Greg (Jackie); the mother of his children Darlene "Toni" Huntley; his grandchildren, Tanner and Taylor; his siblings, Alice Cox (Donnie), Sheila MacDow (Ernie), Judy VanZutphen (Nick), Mary "Winnie" Pearson (Rocci), Roy (Denise) and Laurie (Nancy); his sister-in-law Linda; and his granddaughter Hailey. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to any Women and Children's Shelter; Homeless Shelter or charity of choice.
