Kathleen Ward Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kathleen Ward in Bedford, Nova Scotia, born in Toronto, Ontario, who passed away on June 17, 2020 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Thompson Whitby and Joan Haywood; and her brother-in-law Bill Johnston. She is survived by: her husband Douglas Ward; her daughters, Jennifer Ward (Christopher Chang) of New York City and Joanna MacRae (Trevor) of Bedford; her grandchildren, Morley Rosaline (Jennifer) and Nolan (Joanna); her stepfather Fred Haywood (Marilyn); her siblings, Julie Whitby (Doug Penhale), Sharon Finlay (Jim) and Thom Whitby (Gord Plumpton); and her siblings-in-law, Mary Bird (Alan), Barb Johnston (Mike) and Donald Ward (Heather). She is also survived by 6 nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the QEII Foundation or St. Peter's Anglican Church, Birch Cove, 3 Dakin Drive Halifax.
