He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Sweet and Frances Sweet (Webster); and his son Philip. He is survived by: his wife Sharon; his son Chris of Hammond Plains, NS; his grandchildren, Ashley (Justin), Jeremy (Karlee), Lauren, Kaitlyn and Samantha; and his great grandchild Leo.

Webster received several awards for his dedication of service including the Progressive Life Membership to the Lions Foundation Of Canada and Life Membership to the Lions Foundation of Nova Scotia.
