He was predeceased by: his parent Fred Marriott Haley; his son Richard Douglas; his brother Murray Haley; and his stepsiblings, Madeline, Kathleen, Marguerite, Gordon, Stewart and George.

He is survived by: his parent Laura Evelyn Rhodenizer; his wife Marie; his children, David S. (Robin) and Catherine A. Haley; his daughter-in-law Jo-Ann Haley (Barrett); his siblings-in-law, Margaret Pearson, Brenda MacDougall and Earl MacDougall; his grandchildren, Cameron Haley (Kate), Rebecca Haley, Tyree Haley, Brianna Haley and Matthew Haley; his great grandchild Lillian Haley; and his siblings, Jennie Keating, Donna DeVenney, Eunice Dill (Joey) and Glenna Newcombe.
