He was predeceased by: his grandfathers, Richard Gates and James Gordon Dee Sr.. He is survived by: his parents, James "Gordon" Dee and Cindy Gates-Dee (Gates); his husband Jacob MacDonald; his siblings, Lauren Dee (Scott Lloyd), Michael Aalders and Jessica Toole (Brett Curtis); his grandmothers, Glenna Gates and Patricia Dee; his uncles, Shawn Gates (Carrie) and Rik Gates (Bridget); his aunt Shannen Fahie (Shannon); his cousins, Kyle, Jack, Brooke, Madeline, Victoria and Severyn; and his nieces and nephews, Christian and Willow.
Following two pandemic cancellations, Liam joyfully married the love of his life, best friend and partner in thrifting, Jacob MacDonald in March of 2022.
