He was predeceased by: his parents, Manson Thomas and Donna Thomas (Hall); and his siblings-in-law, Darrell Ward and Joan Thomas (Tupper). He is survived by: his wife Sue (Caldwell); and his siblings, Dale Thomas, Larry Thomas (Marianne TeBogt), Blake Thomas (Pat), Peter Thomas (Sherri), Charlotte Ward, Pat Moore (Ed), Bonnie Baltzer (Marshall) and Linda Lonergan (Keith). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, step-children, step-grandchildren, grandnieces and nephews and many other family members.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in memory of Danny, to the Canadian Kidney Foundation.
