It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruby Winnifred Rose (Horwood) Watkins (Twillingate, Newfoundland), who passed away on March 7, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Horwood and Annie Horwood; her husband Roy; her brothers, Hubert, James and Ralph Horwood (Marion); and her siblings-in-law, Hubert Jenkins, Fred Watkins (Lucy), Elmo Watkins (Rose), Mae Jenkins (Cyril) and Evelyn Churchill (Thomas).

She is survived by: her daughters, Margaret Harvey (Don), Kathy Watkins (Larry Dickison) and Janice Simms (Ed); her grandchildren, Dana, Jennifer (Justin), Zack (Teri-Lynn), Rebecca (Will), Ian and Aidan; her great grandchildren, Jack, Lauren and Meredith; her siblings, Melvin Horwood (Marjorie) and Marjorie Jenkins; and her siblings-in-law, Rowena Horwood and William Watkins (Claudine). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In light of the current COVID-19 pandemic, the health and safety of our families and our community continues to be our highest priority.
