She was predeceased by: her parents, John Anstey and Lucy Anstey. She is survived by: her husband Eric; her children, Roslynn (Grayson), Dana (Dennis) and Kent; her grandchildren, Allison (Matt), Jenessa, Candace, Ryan, Brandon, Ava and Spencer; her great grandchild Josie; and her siblings, Betty Hodder (Roy), Wayne Anstey (Joyce), Stella Ledrew (Calvin), Lorraine Warr (David) and Linda Anstey (Harvey Card).

Donations may be given in Irene's memory to the Central Northeast Health Foundation for a Cuddle Bed in the Palliative Care unit, Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Center .
