He was predeceased by : his parents, William Halfyard and Norma Halfyard (Small); his grandparents, Harvey, Gladys Small, William and Mary Halfyard; his parents-in-law, Gerald and Shiela Connolly; his granddaughter Ella Grace; his brother-in-law Gerry Connolly; his aunts, Janet Warf, Phyllis Hiscock (Dougie) and Shirley Faye; and his uncle Len (Noel).
He is survived by : his wife Genevieve (Connolly); his children, Billy (Daniela), Karen Fry (David) and Sheri Dilny (Steve); his grandchildren, Genavieve, Devin, Jack, Emily, Sarah and Spencer; his brother Paul (Joanne); his nephew Stephen; his sister-in-law Mary Connolly Wilson (John); his niece Rebecca; his cousin Tammy Mulrooney (Brian); his sister-in-law Mary Connolly (Morris); his friends, Vivian Connolly and Mary Connolly (Whelan); his cousins, Lisa Faye, Margaret Holloway and Linda Halfyard-Greene; his close friends, Len Simms, Pat, Janet Hearn, Greg, Kathy Taylor, Ozzie MacKinnon, Derm, Dianne Flynn and Doug Ring; and his caregiver Melissa Flynn. He is also survived by family and friends, but their children and grandchildren's friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, June 21st 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Barrett's Funeral Homes - St. John's (328 Hamilton Ave, St. John's, NL A1E1J9). A memorial service was held on Saturday, June 22nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Gower Street United Church (99 Queens Rd, St. John's, NL A1C6M6).
