With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lloyd Gatehouse (Lewisporte, Newfoundland), who passed away on October 30, 2021 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Gatehouse and Effie Gatehouse; and his siblings, Bert (Cassie), Wallace, Ross and Viola (Albert Penney).
He is survived by: his wife Myrtle; his children, Marilyn Gatehouse (Edward Young), Vanessa Gatehouse (Ralph Ruediger), Deneen Gatehouse (Andy Short) and Todd (Ruth Ann); his grandchildren, Tyler (Elise), Jace, Nigel (Emily), Nathaniel and Caroline; his sisters, Eloise (Robbie Peebles), Madeline (Ches Tilley) and Christine (Tom Williams); and his sister-in-law Celeste. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Public visitation will take place from Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, 262 Main Street, Lewisporte on Sunday, October 31st from 10 AM-12 PM & 2-4 PM following COVID government regulations.
As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Center will be gratefully accepted.
