He was predeceased by: his parents, Netta Waterman and Hector Waterman; his son Larry; and his brother Fred. He is survived by: his wife Geraldine; his daughters, Roxanne Lynch (Graham), Robin Ford (Leonard) and Ros Waterman; his grandchildren, Jamie, Jody, Felicia, Larry-Joe and Tony; his great grandchildren, Jocelyn, Jamilee, Brailyn, Nolan, Sophia and Cali; and his sister Clara Wells. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and a large circle of other relatives and close friends.
