We are sad to announce that on February 5, 2020 we had to say goodbye to Gordon Elmo Canning (Lewisporte, Newfoundland). You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Canning and Margaret Canning; his son Gary; his granddaughters, Stacey and Sarah; and his siblings, Eli, Allan, Ambrose, Garland, Roland and Annie.

He is survived by: his wife Viola; his children, Judy (Roy Brenton), Jane (Roland Boone), Paul (Kimberley), Joan, Joyce (Colin Pope) and Janis; his grandchildren, Christopher (Erin), Bailey, Tala, Chad, Tyler (Vanessa), Liam, Joshua and Jennifer; his great grandchild Miya; and his sisters, Marina (Roland Cooper) and Mildred (Oscar Taylor). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Interment will follow from The Salvation Army Cemetery, Comfort Cove-Newstead, NL As expressions of sympathy, flowers or donations to the Janeway Children's Hospital Foundation. will be greatfully accepted.
