He was predeceased by: his parents, Myles Hanlon and Edna Hanlon; his brothers, Roy, Jerry and Herb; and his brother-in-law Wilson Rowsell.

He is survived by: his wife Margarita; his daughters, Terra-Lynn Young (Matthew) and Lee-Ann McCarty (Shannon); his grandson Cole Young; his siblings, Ronald (Grace), Rex (Maxine), Shirley Brace (Reginald), Leona Rowsell and Verna Hayter (Craig); and his sister-in-law June. He is also survived by many nieces and nephew's other relatives and friends.

As expression of sympathy donations may be made in his memory to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery Fund.
