He was predeceased by: his parents, William Mitchell and Annie Mitchell; and his siblings, Ruby Osbourne, Jessie Locke and Gerald Mitchell.

He is survived by: his wife Vena; his children, Natasha Budden and Shannon; his grandchildren, Lucas Budden (Briar), Adam Budden and Andrew Budden (Kianna); his great grandchild Selena Locke; and his siblings, Marjorie Pickett, Toots Budgell (Curtis), Shirley Rideout, Brenda Warford and Ivy Rogers.

The interment will follow at Buchan's Community Cemetery, Buchan's, NL As expressions of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
