He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Gartley and Jean Gartley (Culberson); and his siblings, Doris, Ivan, Robert, Ralph and Glen.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Gartley (Thomas); his children, Clair Gartley (Movita), Cathy Gartley (Lorne Jamieson) and Steven Gartley; his grandchildren, Rebecca, Amy (Louis), Katie and Ben; his great grandchild Clara; and his sister Shirley. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
