He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Broad and Elaine Broad (Crain); his wife Evelyn Broad (Violette); and his brothers, James, Sherdon "Junior", Raymond, Earl, Phillip, Garnett and Irvine Broad.
He is survived by: his wife Eileen Broad (Hathaway); his stepchildren, Lisa Butler of Fredericton, NB, Amber Butler of Woodstock, NB, Nicole Davenport (Corey Shannon) of Fredericton, NB, Daniel Butler of California, Rodney Butler of Woodstock, NB and William Butler of Fort McMurray, AB; and his siblings, Shirley DeMerchant (Blake) of Beechwood, NB, Fred Broad (Brenda) of Beechwood, NB, Claude Broad (Betty) of Beechwood, NB and Berlin Broad of Beechwood, NB. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
