She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter MacDoanld and Freda MacDoanld (Graham); her son Mark Melanson; her husband Edwin "Butch" Kidder; and her former husband George Melanson.

She is survived by: her children, Deborah Rauska (Andrew) of Hampstead, NB and Paul Melanson (Valerie Walker) of Sussex, NB; her sister Arletta Whiteside of Sussex, NB; her sister-in-law Sandy Melanson of Norton, NB.; her grandchildren, Jared Davis, Justin Davis, Janelle Davis-Bent and Eric Melanson; and her great grandchildren, Brooke Davis and Penelope Davis. She is also survived by several nieces, a nephew, and several cousins.
