He is survived by: his wife Judy Mercer of Saint John; his daughter Danielle Mercer of Saint John; his sisters, Eileen Nichols (Doug), Nettia Jones (Lloyd), Lauretta Jennings (Charles) and Eva Guimond (Anthony); his grandchildren, Peyton, Breeannah Gallant and Michelle Maillet; his niece Laura Mercer of Sussex; and his nephew Nick Mercer of Sussex.
