He was predeceased by: his parents, Gérard Cormier and Céline Cormier (Gallant); and his siblings, Cécile LeBlanc, Laurentine Cormier, Abraham, Armand, Alphée and Léonce "Nini".

He is survived by: his son Jeffrey Fougère of Shediac; the mother of his child Annette Fougère of Shediac; his siblings, Raymond (late Rachel), Gérard (Linda), Lorenzo, Jean-Charles, Edvin (Yvette) and Angela McPhee; and his siblings-in-law, Rose Cormier of Shediac, Claudette Martin of Shediac, Jeanette Cormier of Bouctouche and André LeBlanc of Bouctouche.
