He was predeceased by: his father Irvine Finnie; and his close friend David Dunlap. He is survived by: his mother Maxine Finnie (Crouse); his wife Mabel Finnie (Charters); his daughter Misty Finnie (Scott Carney); his grandchildren, Nathaniel Carney Finnie and Summer Carney Finnie; and his sisters, Cathy Mazerall (Harvey) of Fredericton and Donna Finnie (Gordon Mazerall) of Fredericton. He is also survived by many nieces and, nephews.
