It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Ellen Ritchie of Fredericton, New Brunswick, born in Presque Isle, Maine, who passed away on November 21, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Crouse and Gertrude Crouse (Bragdon); her son Andrew "Andy" Albert; her sisters, Catherine White and Elizabeth Hanson; her granddaughter Abigail Violet Nichols; her nephew David White; and her former husband Carlton Albert.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kimberly Waddell Knight (Steve Knight) and Pamela Waddell Lavoie (Dean Lavoie); her stepchildren, Robbie Ritchie (Marie-Claude Lavoie), Peter Ritchie (Manon Methot), Jean-Yves Ritchie (Chris Cashabeck), Carlton Albert Jr., Danny Albert, Bryan Albert and David Albert (Mary); her brother Arthur Crouse (Jane); and her sister-in-law Janice Cussen of Ireland. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
