With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eva Jean Howe (Fredericton, New Brunswick), born in Burton, New Brunswick, who passed away on December 14, 2023 at the age of 96. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Eva Jean Howe to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband William "Bill" Howe; her parents, John Meade and Bertha Meade (Howe); her sons-in-law, Stephen Smith, Bill Whitlock and David Durling; and her siblings, Florence Delong, Doris Howe, Helen Sharpe, Wilfred, George, Charles, Harvey, Kenneth and Karl Meade.
She is survived by: her daughters, Darlene Durling, Jean Whitlock and Cheryl Smith; her grandsons, Steven Whitlock (Julie) and Tim Whitlock (Anne Marie); her great grandchildren, Jenna and Erin; her granddaughter Sarah Smith (Matthew); her great grandchildren, Beth and Theo; her grandsons, Christopher Smith (Monica) and Ross Durling; her great grandchild Zarollina; and her sister Etta Robertson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick, Hospice Fredericton (Palliative Care Resource Network Inc.), Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of the donor's choice.
