She was predeceased by: her parents, Percy Edward and Fannie Reba Thornton (Stairs); her husband Frederick Albert Smith; her brother Owen Thornton; her niece Trudy; her nephew Kenneth Thornton; and her sister-in-law Glenna Phillips (late Russell). She is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
