With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara Jean Knappe (Fredericton, New Brunswick), born in Moncton, New Brunswick, who passed away on October 17, 2023 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Alfred Knappe; her parents, Helen Lauder (Manning) and Rudolph Lauder; and her sisters, Claire Barkhouse and Shirley Hebert.

She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey Knappe (Nancy) of Quispamsis, Michael Knappe (Sophia) of West Bloomfield, MI and Kelsie Shaw-Gorman (Kevin) of Fredericton; her grandchildren, Sarah, Charlotte, Sabrina, Satta, Michelle, Melodie, Seleste, Aaron, Meghan, Kirsten and Kaitlin; her great grandchildren, Sophie and Gracelyn; and her brother Dale Lauder. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
