He was predeceased by: his former wife Margaret; and his siblings, Jessie Matchett, Frank, Harry and Walter.

He is survived by: his wife Lorraine LaLier; his children, Terry (Paula Gardner) of Winnipeg, Robert (Lynn Burns) of Vancouver, Donald (Leslie) of Sydney, Eleanor Black (Rial) of Winnipeg, Anne of Toronto and Gregory; his grandson Douglas; his sister Minnie Haggerty of Delta, BC; his sister-in-law Doris Parsonage of Brandon, MB; and his nephew Greg LaLier (Crystal Norman) of Landmark, MB.. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
