With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Walter Tkachyk (Vita, Manitoba), born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, who passed away on February 27, 2021 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas and Magdalina; and his brothers, Tony (Mary), Matt, Roman (Nelda) and Steve.
He is survived by: his wife Helen; his children, Brian, Brenda (Jerry), Cathy (Gary) and Janice (Rob); his grandchildren, Keith, Tim (Chelsey), Mark, Christine, Nick, Luba (Dustin) and Tony (Brynn); his sister Martha (Adam); and his siblings-in-law, Doris, Pat Tkachyk, Mary Pidkowich, Mary Kachur (John) and Steve (Irene). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid 19 restrictions, a limited funeral service with immediate family only will take place at Sts. Peter and Paul Church on Saturday, March 6, at 11:00am with Father Darren Kawiuk officiating.
