He was predeceased by: his father Victor Bergen; and his grandparents, Elizabeth, Elias Bergen, John and Katie Huewan.

He is survived by: his mother Elsie Bergen; his stepfather Leo Naaykens; his brothers, Jonathan, Steven and Bruce Youd (Brayden); his aunts, Joyce Doering (John) of Stonewall, Marguerite Rogalsky of Winnipeg and Verna Doering; and his uncle John Huewan of Arborg. He is also survived by numerous cousins and other extended family.
