He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Heaps and John Heaps; his siblings, Bill, Bob and Isabel (Ethel); and his granddaughter Kaylee.

He is survived by: his brother John; his children, Sherri (Doug) and Rick (Deanna); his grandchildren, Amy, Riley and Tanner; his wife Ethel; and his daughter Sharon (Sherri).
