He was predeceased by: his parents, Alphonse Desjarlais and Agnes Desjarlais; and his siblings, Richard, George, Denis, Camille, Roland, Conrad and Gisele.

He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Johnston; his children, Guy Jr. (Kristy), Scott (Jaymie), Jeanluke (Brennon), Sheena (Ricky), Clandelle and Chanelle; his sister Claudette; and his close friends, Ray Kennedy, Christopher Courchene and Marcel Ducharme.
