We are sad to announce that on November 7, 2024, at the age of 88, Edna Jean (Smith) Olson (Portage la Prairie, Manitoba), born in Riding Mountain, Manitoba passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her granddaughter Kenzie; her son-in-law Douglas Clowater; her parents, Austin Smith and Grace Smith; her siblings, Wilfred (Roberta), Fred, Walter (Gwen), Beulah (Bob), Bea (Rollie), Edythe, Donald, Dave (Grace) and Edgar (Joan); and her parents-in-law, Hertha and Jonas Olson.
She is survived by: her cousin Irma; her husband Leonard; her children, Jim (Rae), Bob (Linda), Dale (Shannon), Shelley (Clark), Darcy, Marlene (Steven) and Cindy (Scott); her grandchildren, Mandy (Tyler), Jason (Ashley), Kiernan (Stefanie), Erik, Christine, Mark, Michelle, Daniel (Lindsay), Corey (Kelsey), Sara (Dustin), William (Katherine), Samantha (Brendin), Sydney (Nik), Jennifer (Hunter), Ward (Amanda), Nicole (Brendan), Taylar (John), Katie and Matthew; her great grandchildren, Jaxon, Nash, Benny, Gage, Weston, Carson, Chloe, Hunter, Nora, Emmie, Hadley, Caylie, Sebastian, Aries, Charlie, Brooks, Casey, Liam and Addie; her brother Gordon Smith; and her sister-in-law Sigrid Pierce (Ed). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel (56 Royal Rd S, Portage la Prairie, MB R1N1T6).
