He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry and Matilda; his brother Herbert; his granddaughter Christine; his sisters-in-law, Doreen, Olga and Katherine; and his mother-in-law Martha.
He is survived by: his wife Betty; his children, Joan, Norma, Cindy (David) and Dale (Sherri); his grandchildren, Amber (Kevin), David, Christopher (Tasha) and Brittany (Sean); his great grandchildren, Tyler, Ciara, Silas and Dante; and his brothers, Len, Alfred (Theresa), Willie, Gordon (Elsie), George (Gert), Vera, Doreen Bruce (Edgar), Monty Monkman (Yvonne) and Stan Monkman. He is also survived by many numerous nieces and nephews.
