I just found out about my sweet friend Amanda's passing. I am so heartbroken for the family as she was a very special person. I remember the first double date I ever went on, was with Amanda and Jay. My heart felt love and prayers go out to her family.

john McKernan was a whip-smart teacher and mentor, a poet of distinction, an editor and a scholar of writing. He loved the written word and he loved his family.
