She was predeceased by: her mother Olive Stevens (Newcombe); her stepfather Ralph Stevens; her father Charles Toomer; her siblings, Lenda and Billy; her nephew Jayson "Jay" Laybolt; and her pet Shiloh.

She is survived by: her husband Wayne Cross; her daughter Deanna Graham; her stepsons, Duane and Dwight; and her siblings, Carolyn Baker, Heather Myers (Gary), Shirley Boyce (Rick), Beatrice Laybolt, Jessie DeBaie (Darryl), Faye Briand, Donna Maskell (Robert), Harry and Tony Stevens. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Hope for Wildlife in honor of Sheila, this was a cause close to her heart.
