Mary Chieko Welt Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Chieko Welt in Surrey, British Columbia, born in Slocan, British Columbia, who passed away on July 4, 2023 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Haruye and Seiichi; her siblings, Kiyoshi (Nancy), Victor (Terry), Mitshu (Keiko), Hiroshi (Betty), Tomoko (Shigeo), Keiko (Kiyoshi) and Reiko (Fred); her significant other Derek; her grandsons, Mathew, Mitchell and Grayson; and her extended family, Jennifer, Darren, Susan, Rona, Nora, Audrey and Brenda.

In honor of Mary, the family kindly requests that any donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in her memory.
