He is survived by: his wife Sonja; his son Brian; his father Max (Anita); his siblings, Ron (Maggie), Glen (Masumi) and Valerie (Stuart); and his brother-in-law Cameron. He is also survived by extended family and many friends.

During an epic battle with Parkinson's disease over the last 8 years, he was taken unexpectedly due to complications while in hospital.
